1. Butter the inside of the slow cooker with half of the butter.

2. Shred the cheese. Make several layers each of the macaroni, cheese, crackers, and oysters in the slow cooker. Pour the milk over the layers and dot with the remaining butter. Cover and heat on a low setting for 3 to 4 hours.
